POLAK
We believe design is both a powerful tool for solving real-world challenges and a medium for sparking dialogue—inviting reflection on the cultural, social, and ethical dimensions of contemporary life. Our studio works closely with private clients, architects, companies, and scientists to create unique design experiences, spatial concepts, products, and research-based projects.
This commitment to sensory exploration and critical design is further explored in Omer Polak’s TEDx talk, "Smell as a Design Tool", presented in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Bauhaus Bunny
Ceramic Sculpture
The Bauhaus Bunny is a collectible ceramic sculpture that merges playful symbolism with the aesthetic clarity of the Bauhaus movement. Reduced to its most essential geometric components, the form strips away sentimentality to reveal a character rooted in balance, abstraction, and modernist ideals.
Crafted from environmentally friendly ceramic and meticulously handmade, each sculpture celebrates material honesty and the union of art and function. The use of simple volumes—cylinders, spheres, and planes—pays homage to the Bauhaus tradition of formal reduction, while the figure of the bunny introduces a touch of whimsy and narrative.
Available in a range of sizes—from hand-sized pieces to one-meter-tall sculptures—the Bauhaus Bunny is offered in a palette of primary colors (red, yellow, blue) as well as black and white. This color scheme reinforces its connection to the Bauhaus legacy and emphasizes the bold simplicity of the form.
The design is a tribute to the legacy of Bauhaus artist Oskar Schlemmer, whose work bridged performance, sculpture, and costume. Like Schlemmer’s stage figures, the Bauhaus Bunny is simultaneously object and character—static yet suggestive of motion, silent yet expressive.
With its clean lines, vibrant color, and crafted presence, the sculpture invites both contemplation and delight, bridging the worlds of design history and contemporary material culture.
